Sacramento is one of the first cities in the world to implement 5G Small Cell Tower technology. Roughly 600 new antennas have been installed in Sacramento alone since the 5G roll-out began in October 2018. Many of these antennas are being installed in residential areas, on lamp poles, exposing nearby residents to UNPRECEDENTED levels of hazardous microwave radiation exposure.
Cell antennas have been deployed as close as 50 feet to the second story bedroom windows with predictable neurological symptoms and very disturbing health decline for the occupants of the house.

On January 28, 2020, the City of Davis has APPROVED the 5G high-speed internet deployment which includes the installation of the 5G small cells antennas mounted on a street lamp or electric utility pole/tower in neighborhoods. These antennas will expose nearby residents to potentially harmful radiation inside their homes all day, every day. They approved that the towers can be within 250 feet of a residence or closer if the wireless telecom provider insists that a closer location is required for optimal radiation disbursement. A far more protective ordinance could have been passed but the way it is the wireless telecom companies can basically put the antennas where they feel is best for them. This would include city lamp poles in front of houses or apartment dwellings.
For more than a year, the Davis City Council has been hearing from the public about the dangers of these 5G small cell antennas and the dangerous health impact of the radio frequency emissions.
Eric Windheim met with the major of Davis in December of 2018 to provide evidence of the harm from cell antennas close to homes and suggestions for cell antenna set back distance from homes. The mayor stated he wanted to meet with Eric a second time to discuss further but he never called back as promised.
